A clean that goes beyond the hull.

Our wash and wax service covers an exterior wash and cleaning of areas such as compartments, non-skid, stainless and upholstery, as agreed in your estimate. We review the condition first so stains or dullness that need extra attention are identified before work starts.

Protection suited to the existing finish.

The service uses a polymer sealant to protect suitable surfaces after cleaning. If the boat already has a ceramic coating or another treatment, let us know. The care products and protection should suit what is already on the boat.

Know when to step up to correction.

Wash and wax is intended for finishes in good condition. If the gelcoat is chalky, faded or marked, adding a sealant alone will not solve the underlying issue. We can explain a correction option or help you set priorities around your budget and the boat’s needs.

Wash & wax: your questions.

Have a question about your boat? Call us and talk through the details.

Is wash and wax the same as oxidation removal?

No. Wash and wax cleans and protects a finish that is already in good condition. Oxidation removal involves correction to address a dull or chalky surface. We assess which service is appropriate before providing a quote.

Can you wash a boat that is kept in the water?

We can discuss in-water work after checking the location, safe access and the surfaces involved. Some areas may not be reachable from the slip, and in-water hull work may carry an additional fee. The estimate makes the scope clear.

Should I book this if my boat is already ceramic coated?

Tell us which coating is on the boat and when it was applied, if known. We will discuss a cleaning and maintenance approach that suits the coating rather than automatically adding another layer of wax or sealant.
